ewwww. i remember when i used to live way out of town in the country and we had wells instead of city water service - often times we'd get rusty water but it'd go away after a few minutes of running the tap. nothing ever like this though.
on a completely unrelated subject, is Stardust out in your neck of the woods? 'cause if it is, you totally need to see it. i saw it this evening and it totally freaking rocks. hardcore. it's awesome, yo!
Nigs- It's the prohibition all over again... but slightly more surreal.
Hageltoast- I know! Thankfully it was back to normal by the time we got in from work.
Korova- You're only saying that because it looks like water that's been filtered through pot noodles.
Aliemalie- Apparently a water pipe had burst somewhere in our area which had stirred up all the water in the surrounding pipes. As some of them are a ceramic flowerpot type of material they end up with a load of brickdust lying on the bottom which got disturbed as all the water rushed about. If anyone did dare drink it they could have given a whole new meaning to the phrase 'shitting a brick.'
As for Stardust I don't think it has reached here yet but I am really looking forward to seeing it. The book it is based on was written by Neil Gaiman co-author of a certain book called 'Good Omens' you may be familiar with. : )
